Burrell Newberry Brown III

Personal Bio

Mine has been a life of almost true.

From a small vo-ag town in north Mississippi, I went to college where I danced a hole in my shoe.   I've loved women, a few, and been loved by more.   My children number four: Melanie, Newberry, Katrina, and Melissa, with ages from twenty two to thirty seven.   Each of them I adore, but after three wives, there won't be any more.   Grandkids begin with a little thirteen year old Dutch boy child.   I count as my friends many more than the constant core.   For enemies I must count one two (but that's her their choice).

I am ...
I was ...
I will be ...
Who knows what,
I don't ...
But it's fun finding out.

My college sweetheart said "I DO", and we parted as friends in year five.   Seldom without a wife, I've been many things in life.   Although I've held few jobs, the occupations have been many, ranging from student to corporate president, from tax man (but not of the IRS variety) to computer analyst, in both private and public sectors.    Made a small fortune made smaller by the actions of my second wife.   Stole my children for a while, she did.   Of her and that, a book I put on hold as remembering I cry.   My current wife and I are more than lovers, we're best friends.

College philosophy taught that every action not taken is an action taken.   My marriage counselor (Yes, there have been those!) told me success was measured by the lack of regrets.   Guess I'm totally successful according to both.  I have no regrets for anything I've done, only those things I should have and did not.   As the song says:

"All I ask of dying is to go naturally . . ."
