L.E.A.P. - A research project involving tracking the healing of diabetic sores.  The scope of the project was to automatically  download patient condition records to a central machine when the case worker's laptop was plugged into a phone line.  The central machine would then tabulate the result.  This is a very pertinent and personal project to me as a diabetic.

Notary Download - In 1992, one of the subscribers to the Mississippi Secretary of State's Notary database came up with a better idea than the labels and printed lists provided by the SOS: Download each day's changes and pick prospective Notaries based on the subscriber's personal criteria and use customized letters, envelopes, and order forms for different prospects .... Wow! 
Users of my software are:

Computerized Taxes - When the Radio Shack TRS80 machines came out, I experimented with printing short forms (1040A) for quick turnaround; Schedules E & G which required intensive entries and calculations; and customer reminders.  Also produced programs to check tax calculations; interest on loans and sales tax.  Then along came TurboTax and my work was history ... "Such is Life".
