Looking for a Pro?

I suspect you’ll find very few candidates with a background --- such as mine and it’s one I would like to put to work on someone's behalf.
As you’ll see from my resume, the depth of my experience in MIS offers you the opportunity to find a position for a very adaptable pro who needs little or no training and who is comfortable and successful with both heritage and current systems.
I met my first computer late at night October 16, 1967. It was just an old TI-33 Teletype connected to a time-sharing IBM 370 in California, but it changed my life. Officially, I began in information systems as early as 1971 (See Trustmark).
I have worked with all the various versions of FoxPro since FoxPro Dos 1.0 until VFP 6.0 for as many years as they have been on the market. I know that's not an exact figure, but I still do maintenance on some of our older systems. Likewise for Microsoft Visual Basic, beginning with version 3. Since my agency’s conversion to a local network environment, most of my current development has been in VB6 or ASP, both of which I interface with MS SQL 6.5, 7.0 and 2k+. I serve my agency as SQL DB Administrator, Webmaster, and Exchange Administrator. I began my association with ADABAS and Natural in 1985, with my design and lead of a major project in 1992. I have been a project leader in information services since 1983 or before, with more than two-thirds of that time as hands on, the remainder as heritage resource and trainer for team members and others. In addition to working for others I have run my own companies since 1975.
I would prefer not to leave my current position; however, the current head of the division insists on outsourcing and contracting. Pay has become static, while my household expenses have not with a child in college. The work, tools and team members I have had until recently have been top notch and enjoyable. I am available to begin almost immediately. With 5 weeks paid vacation, medical insurance and employer contributed retirement, my primary point is to raise my standard of living.
I am a US citizen. I own my home and should not need help in selling it. Otherwise I would need assistance in moving household goods and expenses on the road. Although I would not turn down relocation expenses including sale of house, temporary living expenses, etc.
